Asian Hospital and Medical Center

Asian Hospital and Medical Center (AHMC) is a tertiary teaching hospital established on May 1, 2002. It is the only hospital in southern Metro Manila to receive the Gold Seal of Approval from the Joint Commission International, reflecting its adherence to internationally recognized standards for healthcare quality and patient safety. AHMC is part of the Metro Pacific Investments Corporation healthcare network and has a capacity of 259 beds.

The Critical Care Medicine (CCM) Unit at AHMC was established in June 2015 by three intensivists—Joanne B. Robles, Aaron Hernandez, and Gerardo Briones Jr.—all graduates of the Critical Care Medicine program of The Medical City. The hospital launched its CCM Fellowship Training Program on July 16, 2018.

The program is currently headed by Joanne B. Robles, with Anthony F. Pantaleon serving as Training Officer. The fellowship program received Provisional Accreditation from the Philippine Society of Critical Care Medicine on April 1, 2025. To date, ten fellows have graduated from the program, and it presently has three trainees enrolled in the two-year training track.
